New partnering system for the life sciences industry to be launched ahead of the BIO International Convention
New York (March 12, 2015) - INOVA, the life sciences’ leading partnering place provider, and the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) have teamed up to provide a new partnering system for the biotech/pharma community. The dedicated solution supports this innovation-intensive industry, where companies are constantly searching for collaborative opportunities. Today, pharma’s top companies source over 50% of their molecules from partners. This next-generation partnering system, to be launched for the 2015 BIO International Convention, June 15 – 18 in Philadelphia, combines an enhanced conference partnering system with a new collaborative partnering module. Together, the two modules will help users more efficiently source potential collaborations and funding opportunities during BIO 2015 and all BD and investor events year round.
“We’re excited to be teaming up with BIO. Not only do they represent over 1,000 life science companies and organizations, but BIO conferences are where face-to-face partnering happens,” commented Gilles Toulemonde, INOVA CEO, referring to the 29,000+ partnering meetings that take place during the three days of the BIO International Convention. “It makes perfect sense for us to join forces with BIO because today’s complex health challenges can only be solved by a team of minds. Our partnering place is specifically designed to help life sciences companies identify and engage with the right partners in order to develop new treatments.”
BIO One-on-One Partnering™: An Enhanced Conference System
BIO’s next generation One-on-One Partnering solution will provide an improved experience during BIO 2015 and all BD and investor events to optimize attendees’ return on meetings and overall business development costs. System enhancements help users save time and effort searching for companies, getting in touch with them, prescheduling private one-on-one meetings, and more. “This partnership brings tremendous value to BIO event attendees. Together, INOVA and BIO have developed a new partnering system which will enable users to have a more productive meeting experience, facilitating partnerships and connections which are the bedrock of our industry,” said Jim Greenwood, BIO President & CEO.
One-on-One PLUS Partnering™: An Advanced Module
One-on-One PLUS Partnering, powered by INOVA, is a brand new module designed to help attendees better prepare for and follow-up on their meetings. It’s a secure, private and integrated environment where conference attendees can collaborate internally with their entire team, including colleagues who are not attending the conference. “We want to help BIO attendees get the most they can out of BIO events. By collaborating with BIO and using our 14 years of experience working with pharma and biotech leaders, we’ve developed a partnering system that can be used during BIO, and year round, to turn meetings into deals,” added Gilles Toulemonde.
